50th Memorial Day Program of Brahma Baba

The Brahma Kumaris at Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC) observed the 50th Year of the Father of Humanity’s, Brahma Baba’s, Ascension Day. “The Founding Father of Brahma Kumaris, Prajapita Brahma, was a famous jeweler and diamond merchant who was known as Dada Lekhraj in the society. He was full of devotional traits from his childhood. He had great regard for women and the desire to uplift them. That’s why when he founded Brahma Kumaris, he gave Administrative Powers to them. Because he was the Instrument for the Divine Mission, he was named Prajapita Brahma by God. His greatness was that he used to treat his critic as his true friend.” These were the versions of BK Vijaya, Senior Rajayoga Teacher at the ORC.
She said, “Baba was the Embodiment of Renunciation and Austerity. Even at the age of 93 years he sat erect on the floor for meditation. He never wore glasses, for reading and writing, until his last breath. His life is a mirror for us, to see our flaws in us.” Quoting many examples from his life she said that he remained cool and carefree under any critical situation. He had utmost faith in God that whatever may happen it would be benevolent. She said that he is the Role Model for many millions of people in the world who are following him.
On this occasion, from morning Rajayoga meditation continued in which everyone sat introvert and paid their hearty tribute in silence. This Day in particular is observed as his Memorial Day for which the whole campus of ORC was beautifully decorated with flowers.

ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ के ओम् शान्ति रिट्रीट सेन्टर में मानवता के शिखर पुरूष ब्रह्माबाबा की ५० वीं पुण्यतिथि बहुत ही श्रद्धा और भावना के साथ मनाई गई। ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय के संस्थापक प्रजापिता ब्रह्मा अपने लौकिक जीवन में दादा लखीराज के नाम से एक प्रसिद्ध हीरे-जवाहरातों के व्यापारी थे। दादा के जीवन में बचपन से ही भक्ति के संस्कार भरे हुए थे। दादा के अन्दर सदैव मातृशक्ति को आगे बढ़ाने की शुभ इच्छा रहती थी। इसलिए जब उन्होंने संस्था की स्थापना की तो माताओं को आगे रख उनको संस्था के नैतृत्व की बागडोर सौंपी। ईश्वरीय कार्य के निमित्त बनने के कारण उनका अलौकिक नाम प्रजापिता ब्रह्मा पड़ा। ब्रह्माबाबा का विशेष गुण था कि वो निंदा करने वाले को भी अपना सच्चा मित्र समझते थे।
इस विशेष अवसर पर ब्रह्माबाबा की विशेषताओं का वर्णन करते हुए ओ.आर.सी. की वरिष्ठ राजयोग प्रशिक्षिका विजय दीदी ने कहा कि बाबा त्याग-तपस्या एवं सेवा की एक साक्षात् प्रतिमूर्ति थे। उन्होंने कहा कि ९३ वर्ष की आयु में भी बाबा जमीन पर सीधे बैठकर तपस्या करते थे। जीवन के आखिरी पलों तक भी बाबा ने बिना चस्मा पहने ही लिखने और पढऩे का कार्य किया। उन्होंने कहा कि बाबा का जीवन हम सबके लिए एक आईना है जिसमें हम स्वयं की कमियों को देख सकते हैं। बाबा के जीवन के अनेक उदाहरण देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि कैसी भी परिस्थिति रही हो, बाबा सदा निश्चिंत रहे। उनको परमात्मा पर पूरा भरोसा था कि जो भी होगा उसमें कल्याण ही समाया हुआ है। वर्तमान समय ब्रह्मा बाबा को अपना आदर्श मानते हुए विश्व में लाखों की सँख्या में लोग उनका अनुकरण कर रहे हैं।
इस अवसर पर सुबह से ही योग का कार्यक्रम चलता रहा और सभी ने अन्तर्मुखता की स्थिति में रह बाबा की स्मृतियों को याद करते हुए बाबा को सच्ची श्रद्धान्जली व्यक्त की। पूरे परिसर में फूलों की बहुत सुन्दर सजावट की गई। इस दिवस को विशेष रूप से स्मृति दिवस के रूप से मनाया जाता है।
