Anti-Intoxicant Drive and Spiritual Camp as part of Kisan Mela 2018 (Farmers Fair)

Hathras (Anandpuri Colony), Uttar Pradesh: On the occasion of the Kisan Samman Divas (Farmers Honor Day), an anti-intoxicant drive and spiritual camp was organised by the Brahma Kumaris as part of the Farmer-Scientist Dialogue/Meeting.
The Anandpuri Center of the Brahma Kumaris, located on Aligarh Road, participated in the festivities which marked the anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh. On the occasion, BK Dinesh strongly advised farmers to stay away from addictions, and cautioned them against spending their hard earned money in the slow poison, that is tobacco. Warning them against the ill effects of the same, he shared that more than eleven lakh people die each year because of the consumption of tobacco. BK Dinesh further insisted that no regular student of the Brahma Kumaris ever indulges in any kind of addiction.
In addition to several agricultural scientists, Deputy Director of Agriculture, H.N Singh; District Agriculture Officer, Dipin Kumar; the District Development Officer and numerous farmers were present  The cooperation of BK Keshavdev, BK Jitender Kumar and BK.Gajendra, etc., was appreciable.

प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय के अलीगढ़ रोड स्थित आनन्दपुरी केन्द्र ने चौधरी चरण सिंह की जयन्ती के अवसर पर मण्डी समिति, हाथरस में आयोजित किसान मेला/कृषक वैज्ञानिक संवाद/गोष्ठी में प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय की सहभागिता की गई। किसानों के मध्य वक्ता के रूप में पधारे बी0के0 दिनेश भाई ने किसानों को व्यसनों से दूर रहने की सलाह देते हुए कहा कि किसान अपनी मेहनत की कमाई को धीमे जहर तम्बाकू में खर्च न करें। उन्होंने कहा कि लगभग ग्यारह लाख लोग हर साल तम्बाकू खाना छोड़ देते हैं क्योंकि वे तम्बाकू खाने के लिए जिन्दा ही नहीं रहते। बी0के0 दिनेश भाई ने जोर देकर कहा कि प्रजापिता ब्रह्माकुमारी ईश्वरीय विश्व विद्यालय का कोई भी नियमित विद्यार्थी किसी भी व्यसन को प्रयोग अपनी लाइफ में नहीं करता।
किसान मेला/कृषक जागरूकता गोष्ठी में व्यसन मुक्ति शिविर एवं शिवदर्शन आध्यात्मिक शिविर का भी आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर तमाम कृर्षि वैज्ञानिकों सहित उपकृषि निदेशक एच0एन0 सिंह, जिला कृषि अधिकारी डिपिन कुमार सहित जिला उद्यान अधिकारी तथा सैकड़ों किसान उपस्थित थे। बी0के0 केशवदेव, बी0के0 जितेन्द्र कुमार, बी0के0 गजेन्द्र आदि का सहयोग सराहनीय रहा।
