Shanti Sarovar in Hansi Inaugurated by Dadi Janki
Hansi (Haryana): The Brahma Kumaris of Hansi inaugurated their Retreat Center, Shanti Sarovar, by Dadi Janki, Chief of Brahma Kumaris, who is 103 years old. The event was celebrated amidst great pomp and grandeur. It was attended by thousands of people including BK fraternity and common people in and around Hansi. They came to get a glimpse of Dadi Janki, and were satiated by her spiritual discourse and blessing.
D P Vats, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, was the chief guest for this occasion. Police Chief Virendra Vij and Youth BJP leader Ajay Sindhu were the other dignitaries. BK Director of Punjab Zone, Rajyogi Brahma Kumar Amir Chand, was also present at the event. With full rituals and soulful outpourings, six celibate women, Brahma Kumaris, dedicated themselves into Godly service.
Speaking on the occasion, Dadi Janki stressed the need to inculcate honesty, cleanliness, purity, patience and sweetness into the human character. She explained the meaning of Om Shanti as “I the Soul, My father the Supreme Soul, and my real home Paramdham (Supreme Abode)”. She said that in reality she is just a child of the Supreme Soul and not Dadi Janki.
BK Anita from Chandigarh informed the audience that Dadi Janki took over the administrative work in 2007 and today the organization works in 140 countries.
The chief guest D P Vats said that the Brahma Kumaris represent sacrifice, knowledge and striving for the ultimate in human life.
BK Sadhana, BK Anita, BK Savita, BK Meenu, BK Uma and BK Prerna offered themselves for Godly service on this occasion. Dadi Janki performed their dedication ceremony amidst flowers and songs. The event was a huge success.
