'Capacity of Time' Program by Brahma Kumaris of Moscow, Russia
The Brahma Kumaris Centre in Moscow organized a youth workshop on the topic “Capacity of Time” at their BK Center in a wonderful atmosphere of friendliness, lightness and enthusiasm.
The main question discussed at the workshop was how to find time for everything one has to do, especially when there is little time but a lot of tasks. The participants shared their own experiences and ideas first in small groups and then with the whole audience.
The workshop was planned in such a way that there was time for different activities. Using the example of a funny sketch, everyone could see how the noise of wasteful thoughts disturb the mind. There was a talk about the importance of meditation and internal “tuning in” at the start of a day. After that all the participants could experience the benefit of this spiritual practice.
BK Valery Dobrov, Film Director and University Lecturer; BK Mayajeet, Russian teacher; and BK Elena Titova, English and German teacher, were the main speakers of the program and the Chief Guest was Mrs. Irina Vissyagina, teacher at the Moscow Publishing and Polygraphic College named after Ivan Fyodorov.
BK Valery Dobrov, Film Director and University Lecturer, explained the philosophy of performing actions and shared how to save time on thinking before and after actions. The main idea is learning to manage one’s thoughts and live in the present as much as possible.
The program ended with singing a beautiful song about the carefree state of mind, a group photo, good wishes and sharing sweets with all the participants. One of the students from the Polygraphic College and their teacher Mrs. Irina Vissyagina gave interviews after the program and shared their feelings.
