Brahma Kumaris Celebrating 40 Years of Service in North America
An amazing gathering of the Brahma Kumars and Kumaris from USA and Canada came together at Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center in New York, emerging and sharing an Ocean of God’s Love, Divinity and Virtues. The theme was “Experiencing God’s Love: the Story of the Yagya” as they joyously celebrated 40 Years of the Brahma Kumaris Serving in North America; 60 Years of service to the Brahma Kumaris by Rajyogini BK Sister Mohini, President of the Brahma Kumaris in the Americas and the Caribbean; and 50 Years of service to the Brahma Kumaris by Rajyogini BK Sister Jayanti, European Director of the Brahma Kumaris.
BK Sister Mohini and BK Sister Jayanti were grandly welcomed to Inspiration Hall in Peace Village, where the hall sparkled with many celebrating anniversaries with the Brahma Kumaris. It was a very powerful and love-filled atmosphere together. The entire campus of Peace Village was full of sweet silent shakti (power) and bliss in one moment, and dancing in harmony and lightness the next … full of towers of strength, Godly virtues and attainments … shining with divinity and light.
The main program was held in Inspiration Hall and Godly versions were shared about how one needs to be fearless and a benefactor – and of course ‘Experiencing God’s love’ – the overarching theme, is the way to make that happen.
Story of the Yagya: A touching scene was re-enacted from the start of the yayga: kumaris sitting in a semi-circle preparing seeds, chanting ‘OM’. Godly versions on the topic the Power of Transformation empowered the gathering.
Heart to Heart – Beautiful Memories: BK Sister Mohini and BK Sister Jayanti were asked by BK Erik from USA and BK Eric from Canada about their early memories and experiences of each other on their spiritual journey with Brahma Kumaris.
BK Sister Jayanti remembered how Brahma Baba, the Founder of Brahma Kumaris, chose BK Sister Mohini, “the perfect instrument, the perfect Shiv Shakti for the west.” BK Sister Mohini remembered how Brahma Baba had connected them, how they complement each other, and how Sister Jayanti’s sweetness has done so much service.
Special Meditation: Experiencing the Depths of God’s Love, Inspiring Yagya Experiences
In a very beautiful meditation experience, in which Sister Mohini and Sister Jayanti were invited to speak about experiencing the depths of God’s love as a meditation commentary/dialogue, interspersed with silence and music … a very powerful and love-filled atmosphere was created.
Book of Blessings and Gifts: BK Julia and BK Carol from New York read out six blessings from a book of blessings for Sister Mohini and Sister Jayanti coming from the North America and Canada family. Each of them were presented with a book of blessings … various beautiful gifts were presented from the New York, Guyana, Canada and other BK families.
Sister Mohini and Sister Jayanti offered bhog, and Sister Mohini shared a message from God for the gathering. Three things were shared: samarpan (surrender), swaha (sacrifice to the yagya) and safalta (using everything in a worthwhile way).
Yagya in North America: BK Sister Mohini then spoke about the expansion of service in North America, with memories of the early days of Canada, New York and the Caribbean.
Perfection and Completion
Sister Jayanti shared on the theme of ‘perfection and completion.’ Many felt new insights and realizations emerging naturally … absorbing satopradhan (pure) energy … touching … feeling … stabilizing … once again … in wholeness … remembering … one’s original stage of perfection.
Special Floating Candle Meditation: Rosary of Lights
Everyone went outside to the pond, where there was a very special candlelight meditation, with everyone holding (battery powered) candles walking around the pond and real candles were ignited and set to float in the pond. Dadi Prakashmani had placed the first floating candle in the pond when Peace Village was first created. It was a beautiful scene and a perfect close to a memorable day.
