The Brahma Kumaris Shiv Smriti Sewa Kendra has intiated a Madhya Pradesh “Farmers Empowerment Campaign” of Kisan Sewa Rath (Chariot for Farmers Service) with a motive to establish organic farming in Madhya Pradesh. The drive, visiting Indore to Baghraji, is being conducted with the support of the Brahma Kumaris and the Rural Wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation.
In the series the “Kisan Sewa Rath” has reached the Xaviers Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS), in Tilhari, where the Institution Director, faculty and students welcomed the rally. On the occasion a programme was also organised in which the XIDAS Director, Father Ranjeet Tigga, welcomed the guests and rally participants. Addressing the programme, he said that earlier farmers used to work with traditional techniques and organically, which used to enhance the production. But with the passage of time, they have mechanised and the quality of crop production became low.
Chief guest Veterinary University Vice Chancellor Dr. PD Juyal encouraged people towards the campaign, sharing that the aim to initiate such programmes is to send positive vibrations to those who produce, sell, and eat the crop production food.
Rajyoga Teacher BK Vinita shared the aim to conduct Kisan Sewa Rath. She said that India is known for its agriculture, due to its organic farming, where growing and harvesting crops both are celebrated as festivals.
BK Bala said harmful fertilisers harm the natural fertility of production land and organic fertilisers enhance the quality of land. Thus we should now move towards organic farming. Those present on the occasion were Father Sunil Kujur, BK Sangeeta Behan, BK Shanti, BK Ritu, BK Babita and others.
