Brahma Kumaris Sisters observed Janmashtami, Sri Krishna’s Birthday, at their Centre, Rajyog Bhawan, in Abohar, Punjab, with fervour and gaity.

Many incidents from Sri Krishna’s life were enacted by the artists. Out of all the scenes displayed, what brought tears of emotions and devotion in the spectators was, the “meeting of Sudama and Sri Krishna”. Apart from this scene, many more mischievous acts of young Sri Krishna, like breaking of earthen pots of butter, were very lively presented.
With the co-operation and guidance of BK Mona, Mahek and Lavish very gracefully performed a dance item to the tune of the song, “Arey Dwarpalon Kanhaiya se kahedo,” making the on-lookers so emotional out of their love for Krishna. Among the serial dance items, Kanchi to the song, “wah Krishna hai,” and Stuti to a Punjabi song, “Rabb milya mainu mera” danced wonderfully. Further, Heena, Shikha, Lavish, Stuti, Drishti and Navya presented a number of dances, all to different songs, and lastly a group dance like a Raasleela with Sri Krishna was performed in which toffies were showered, rendering the function memorable for all.
Brahma Kumaris Centre Head BK Puspalata highlighted the spiritual significance of this festival.
BK Sunita directed the programs on the stage. She expressed her hearty greetings to all the children for making the entire festival very colourful, and gave votes of thanks to the public who were present in large number, making the celebration a grand success.
