National Yoga Day Festival in Chhattisgarh
A three-day National Yoga Day Festival was jointly organised by the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in Raipur at the Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Auditorium. Many scholars of Yoga and Spirituality from various places attended the festival and shared the knowledge they have in their respective fields. Students of Yoga from Raipur and nearby areas were greatly benefitted by the scholars’ discourses.
In the inaugural session, Mr. Ramesh Bais, Member of Parliament of Raipur; Mr. Ramesh Modi, National Treasurer of Vishwa Hindu Parishad; Mr. Sanjay Agrawal, President of the Chattisgarh Yoga Commission; BK Kamala, BK Zonal in Charge, Indore; Smt. Lata Usendi, Director, City Supply Corporation; and all the members of Chattisgarh Yoga Commission were present.
In this festival BK Prachi, Reputed Speaker of BK Centre, Bhilai, explained the important role of Yoga to harness sweet relationships, Yoga for realising Truth, Yoga to develop Positive Attitude in youth and society, and Yoga for making oneself fearless. Also shared was Yoga as a key for physical, mental and spiritual development through regular practice, Yoga to heal critical illness, Yoga to overcome tension and remain cool, Yoga for Personal development, and Nadayoga for healing. One also learned about the scientific study of Karma Yoga and Gyan Yoga mentioned in the Bhagvat Gita, various methods of practicing Yoga, the ability gained to face adverse situations in the world by Yoga, and Powerful Yoga to achieve Peace of Mind, etc. These were the topics which were elaborated by the Scholars in their respective fields. In this festival some blind students nicely presented their feelings through emotional songs that they rendered. Yoga students performed various yoga feats very skillfully.
During all three days of the program, literature stalls were put up by Brahma Kumaris, Art of Living, Patanjali, Sahaj Yoga and many other organizations.
BK Manju, BK Centre in Charge, Tikrapara, and a Member of Chattisgarh Yoga Commission, handled the closing session of the festival very efficiently.
