As per declaration of the United Nations, Environment Day is being observed as a festival all over the world every year, to educate people to save the atmosphere of the entire world from pollution. The special efforts that were put in by the Brahma Kumaris Organisation towards this objective have been taken into notice by UNO,  which then recognised the BK Organisation and gave them the Observer status as an NGO in UNEP in the year 2014.
The Yogic Farming and Rural Development Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation, in Mt. Abu, is consistently working on this project.
As a part of this National Project, the BK Centre of Madhoganj, in Gwalior, has organised a program on this World Environment Day with an aim to make people aware of the importance of the environment and the steps to be taken for saving it from pollution, which has become a matter of concern for everyone’s life on the earth.
Addressing the gathering, BK Adarsh, the local centre In-Charge said, “Today we think environment means the relationship between Man and Nature, but it includes earth, water, air, forest, animals, men and all. Man must realise that to maintain cordial relations among all these is very essential. Today man, out of his selfish greed and ignorance, has created an imbalance in Nature. As a result, along with mankind, Nature is praying to God for solace. So let us all come and listen together to the agony of Nature and catch the directions of God to become aware of our responsibility towards Nature. It is time for us to restore the purity of Nature by saving it from pollution”.  She said, “We have many options with us. We must leave off the western style of materialistic life and go back to our own ancient way of lndian traditional life in which we pray and work for the good of entire mankind and the Nature”.  She further said that a day will come when the entire world will look to us and get inspired by us, will accept and will follow lndians. To achieve this goal we only have to take a first step ahead for the upliftment of our countrymen and for saving and improving our natural resources. We have to fulfill our dream to make India clean, powerful and golden in reality.
At the end all those present took an oath to completely discard the use of plastic to make our environment free from pollution. Everyone firmly promised to  follow the object given.
On the occassion BK Dr. Gurucharan Singh, BK Prahlad, BK Aarti, BK Lata, BK Seema, Brijendra and others were present.
