Energy Conservation Award to Brahma Kumaris by Government of Maharashtra
Mr Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Honorable State Minister of Energy, new and renewable energy, Government of Maharashtra, awarded Brahma Kumaris with “Energy Conservation Award ”, during the 12th State Level Award Ceremony for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management organised by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency at Koregaon Park, for their exceptional contribution in the field of Energy Conservation and sustainability activities. Food Minister, Girish Bapat, Head of Energy Conservation Department, Bipin Sharma, Co-ordinator, Purshottam Jadav, Bureau of Energy Efficiency and other diginitaries were present at the event.
BK Nanda, BK Punya, BK Ankon,BK Kedar,Project Energy Auditor received this award. State-level energy conservation project was organized by Brahma Kumaris Education Society, Latur in organizing public awareness campaigns and implementing energy conservation in more than 358 places and saving about ten lakh units of energy.
Total of 62 awards were distributed to organizations, in the field of engineering, chemicals, medicinal and food, metal and steel, paper making, oil and chemicals, textile, thermal power, construction business, architecture, government buildings and organizations working in energy conservation.
Government of Maharashtra has recognized the remarkable efforts of Brahma Kumaris in the field of energy conservation and sustainability. This is another mile stone in the service history of the Brahma Kumaris.
