"Clean the Mind, Green the Earth" Event by Brahma Kumaris of Latur

At the Brahma Kumaris in Shivaji Nagar, Latur, Maharashtra, an event entitled “Clean the Mind, Green the Earth” was organized.
The root to all sorts of pollution in this world is a Polluted mind. With the aim of purifying the mind, and making the Earth green, tree planting was done by the Brahma Kumaris at Shivaji Nagar in Latur. In order to motivate everyone towards maintaining a healthy mind and environment, the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris organized the event “Clean the Mind, Green the Earth.” During this event a discussion was carried out on the cleanliness campaign and tree plantation and sustenance.
The event was inaugurated by Sureshji Pawar, Mayor, Latur City; Kausubji Divegawkar, IAS Officer (Commissioner), Latur City; BK Nanda, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Latur; BK Prayag, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Shivaji Nagar, Latur; and Dr. Balaji Hazare, Botanist and Scientist at Brahma Smriti Hall, Shivaji Nagar. Many dignitaries of the town were present at the occasion.
First, the Mayor of Latur and the Commissioner were shown the trees planted last year. Thereafter a Cleanliness drive was run to raise awareness. Banners were put on both sides of the roads to raise awareness of Cleanliness and Environment safety.
BK Punya talked about the significance of Greenery for physical and mental health. Dr. Balaji Hazare explained the principle of planting trees in a very economical way.
