National Media Conference of All India Chief Editors by Brahma Kumaris in Bhopal
Rajyogini BK Dr. Reena, Media Co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris in Bhopal, organised an All India Chief Editors’ Media Conference at the Brahma Kumaris Center in Rohit Nagar, Bhopal.
Rajyogi BK Karuna, Managing Trustee and Director of the Media Wing, was the Chief Guest from Mt. Abu. He said, “If all of us Editors become united we can fulfill our responsibility, entrusted by God, to create a better society.” He quoted the late Dadi Prakashmaniji, former Chief Administrator of the Brahma Kumaris Organisation, who said that only Self Transformation can change the world. “So when we imbibe values in us, our pen will gain enough might which can make a better society.”
Mr. A.K. Singh, Senior TV Editor from Delhi, said that today’s Media is very harmful for the Society. Once people look at us with low esteem, it’s a very dangerous sign. It’s time that Media should develop a positive attitude and be impartial.
Professor Kamal Dixit, very senior Journalist and National Co-ordinator of value-based Abhikram Samithi, said that if Editors commit, they can do anything and will never yield to any external pressures. He revealed that the Brahma Kumaris and his Samithi are striving on this path to establish a new value-based society.
Rajyogini BK Dr. Reena said, “If Media and Spirituality work hand-in-hand then the better world is not far away. This itself is the main objective of this Journalists’ Meeting.” She shared an experience with them of inner peace through a practical demonstration of Raja Yoga.
Mr. Girija Shankar said that it’s now time to think and learn the Art of dealing with problems, then the Editor can play his role properly and present the facts boldly.
The Editor of the local daily Patrika, Pankaj Srivastav, said that there are still some Media Organisations which are impartial and work under no one’s pressure.
Mr. Sudhesh Gour, Editor of Nayi Duniya, said if the Editor wants, he can work for the good of all mankind.
Mr. Ravindra Jain, Senior Editor, said that the state of the Editor is like a cricket player whom everyone is eager to see him out. He must be decisive, no pressure will effect him, and he can successfully create a better society.
Many other well-versed Editors who expressed their common opinions were Mr. Radavallabh Sharade, Mamta Yadav, Krishna Mohan Jha, Rizwan Ahmed Siddhique, Sarman Nagela, Ravindra Singh Mehta, Vinod Suryavansi, Madhukar Dwivedi, Vinod Naagar, Sudesh Gour, A.K.Gupta, Somadutta Sastry, Rameshwar Dhakad, Ashish Ratna Parekh, Vivek Sharma, Devendra Joshi, Pavan Devliya, Mahesh Dixit and from Delhi, Kalyayini Chaturvedi.
BK Sushant, National Co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris Media Wing in Delhi, specially arrived to take part in this Conference. At the end all the participants were each offered a Godly gift.
