The Municipality of Hathras Town launched a project to make the town full of greenery and free from pollution. For this they planned to form a Greenbelt along the streets on all four sides of the town. On this occasion they invited members of the Brahma Kumaris local Centre of Anandpuri Colony. Not only that, they also planted a sapling in the name of Rajyogini BK Shanta, Centre in-Charge, as a mark of honor towards the Brahma Kumaris Organisation. At the same time another sapling was planted in the name of the Tree Guard as a respect for him too. Thus they gave the responsibility to them to take care of the Greenbelt as a Social Service.
In the inaugural speech Mr. Ajay Deep Singh, Commissioner, said that in order to make the town full of greenery and free from pollution, use of polythene bags must be boycotted and instead cloth bags must be used for marketing. This can be possible by the cooperation of the citizens.
Others present on the occasion to grace the function were Municipal Chairman Mr. Ashish Saxena, local MLA Mr. Hari Shankar Mahor, M.P. from the District Mr. Rajesh Diwakar, District Collector Mr. Ramashankar Mourya, Police Superintendent Mr. Sushil Dhule, and members of the Pollution Control Board.
The function was very lively, successful and enjoyed by all with public participation.
