Seminar on “Stress-Free Life” at Mongolian Medical University
A public lecture on the topic “Stress-Free Life” was held at the Mongolian Medical University with BK Letchumanan, the National co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris organization in Malaysia, organised by the Brahma Kumaris of Mongolia.
In the lecture, the relationship between disease, state of mind, and the influence of the qualities of character was described by BK Letchumanan: “Acidity” is not only caused by diet errors, but more dominated because of stress. “Hypertension” is not only caused by too much consumption of salty foods, but mainly because of errors in managing emotions. “[High] cholesterol” is not only caused by fatty foods, but “excessive laziness” is more responsible.
“Asthma” is not only because of the disruption of oxygen supply to the lungs, but often, sad feelings make lungs unstable. “Diabetes” is not only because of too much consumption of glucose, but a selfish and stubborn attitude disrupts the function of the pancreas. He spoke about what stress means, what are its signs, and how to check ourselves to remove weaknesses. If a person is weak, then he is easily upset. Make effort to become a person full of energy and change yourself, then any problem cannot shake you.” He also claimed that to let go of stress, we need to become a positive person. He further said that if you learn meditation, then it will help you to become strong. Mr. Letchumanan spoke about the management of the mind and on the types of thoughts that exist. The theme of the speech was “Management and mind management.” During his visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Letchumanan a meeting with the staff and teachers of the educational center at “Santis” was also held, where he gave various suggestions in how to change one’s thinking.
