A one day training program was conducted at Atma Anubhuti Tapovan, under the auspices of Brahma Kumaris Centre, Divyadham, in Dhamtari. It was to impart knowledge to the farmers about the Sustainable Cultivation through Yogic Power, using natural bio- manures.

Chief Guest for this function was the BJP President of Dhamtari, Mr. Ramu Rohra and others who participated were Mrs. Rajeswari Sahoo, Specialist, Agro Science Centre, Sambalpur, Km. Chaya, Rural Agriculture Development Officer, BK Devraj, Chief Trainer of Yogic Farming and Spiritual Teacher, BK Sarita, Area Co-ordinator, Rural Development Wing, Indore zone.
BK Sarita explained that our body, made up of five elements, is a gift of Nature. Agriculture is very essential without which we cannot imagine our survival. It fulfills all our needs and if farming itself gets polluted then how can our lives be saved. Pure food can be produced only with pure mind. When man became greedy for money and matter, he began exploiting the nature. So if we want to be happy we must learn to make others happy.
The system of Yogic Farming taught by BKs is to send the thoughtful positive vibrations of happiness, peace and purity through Yoga to the Nature that yields healthy crops from the powerful earth. Yoga renders the soil free from the effects of chemical fertilizers and poisonous pests. Eating food from Yogic Farming makes our mind powerful and pure. Since last five years BKs are striving to educate the farmers about this holy farming through powers of Yoga, using bio-manures instead of chemical fertilizers. They have been conducting farmers meet, taking out rallys and by mutual discussions to bring awareness in them and to encourage them to adopt this Yogic cultivation. As a result of their incessant efforts today many farmers of the district have already started this method and enjoying profitable returns. They have now become inspirational to other villagers. They fully stopped using chemicals for the crops.
Mr. Ramu Rohra, District BJP President, said that it is a commendable steps taken by BKs which has as direct effect on our health. He said Government also through various plans is encouraging farmers to do chemicals free farming. He expressed hope that by the efforts of such private bodies many more will take up this farming with enthusiasm. He said the plants and the trees sustain our lives so we must also take care and try to save them.
Mrs. Rajeswari Sahoo addressing the farmers said that lndian farm products lost the demand in the export market and not getting good rate. It is said that our products are found to contain excess traces of poisonous pesticides that is harmful for the people in their country. So we are having dual loss of wealth and health. She said, scientists are successful in making all the body parts but so far no lab in the world could produce quality soil for farming. She said the earth is one. Ot cannot be remade. It has to be protected and reset to normalcy. By the consistent use of chemical manures we have destroyed it. The Agro Science Centres gives training and other facilities to the farmers on chemical free cultivation but for that our farmers must volunteer to come forward.
BK Devraj explained the ways to do the Sustainable Yogic Farming and the procedures to prepare domestic manures from cow dung, cow urine, curd, jaggery and dry leaves that helps as nectar to the soil, treatment of seeds and prepare land etc. He also taught to prepare natural pesticides at home for safety of the crops. He explained them how chemicals spoil the quality of the soil, crops, water and air and also our physical health. He made them to understand how our positive thoughts sent as mental vibrations through Rajyoga can yield healthy crops.
Mr. Sanjay Choudhari from Arkar shared their experiences.
