4th International Yoga Day Celebrations at Head Quarters of Brahma Kumaris

Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts have resulted in June 21st, International Yoga Day, being celebrated across the world. He has emphasized that, along with the asanas for good physical health, yoga is essential for mental health and peace, particularly in the present material world of unhealthy competition and greed. This year the Government of India has given the responsibility of 16 districts all over India to the Brahma Kumaris to conduct yoga campaigns. With the motive of ensuring a sound mind in a sound and healthy body, the Brahma Kumaris started special collective meditation and yoga programs worldwide working towards bringing yoga into the life of everyday individuals, thereby achieving both individual mental and collective World Peace.
A grand celebration of the 4th International Yoga Day was inaugurated in the presence of Revered Dadi Jankiji, Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, and Revered Dadi Ratan Mohini ji, Additional Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, in Diamond Hall, Shantivan Complex, on Abu Road.  The Dadis showered their blessings in the midst of thousands of Brahma Kumars and Kumaris from different parts of India. Suresh Kothari, UIT Chairman; Suresh Sindal, Municipality Chairman, Abu Road; and Umesh Chhangani, Vice-President, ShivSena, Rajasthan; were the chief guests of the event. BK Bharat, Chief of the Social Activities group of the Brahma Kumaris; BK Banarasi Lal, Chairperson of the Medical Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation; Dr. Partap Midha, Head of Global Hospital and Research Center, Mount Abu; and BK Geeta, Senior Rajayogi from Mount Abu, were seated on the dias.
Dadi Ratan Mohini ji said that, “Yoga is done differently by different people. Yoga of Bharat is easy Rajayoga. Yoga means “I am a pure soul, a child of the Supreme Soul.” Through yoga we can have good wishes for all and there are no impure feelings towards anyone. Not just the body but even the mind becomes healthy through yoga, divine virtues are emerged, and we can thereby stay happy, giving happiness to all. By practicing the connection of the soul with the Supreme Soul, you will experience an elevated life filled with happiness, and others will experience that happiness through you.”
Dr. Partap Midha said, “By becoming Yogi we become Nirogi (free from diseases) and there will be no need of hospitals in the country. May everyone practice yoga, bring changes in lifestyle, and achieve all attainments of Rajayoga.”
Mr. Suresh Sindal, Municipality Chairman, stated that, “The Brahma Kumaris have been spreading the message of Rajayoga for 40 years through yogis across the globe. As a result of the tapasya of the Brahma Kumaris and yoga gurus across India, Prime Minister has taken this step of International Yoga Day, and Bharat is now moving towards becoming a World Guru.”
Mr. Suresh Kothari, UIT Chairman, expressed his gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris for conducting yoga programs at different places. Let everyone practice yoga and remain healthy, happy and cheerful.
